Willard P. "Wid" Stout

Willard P. (Wid) Stout Willard P. “Wid” Stout, age 66, of Butler, TN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 14, 2022 at his home. Wid was born on April 12, 1956 in Mountain City, TN to Herman Porter Stout and the late Maxine Farmer Stout. In addition to his mother Wid was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Stout. Wid was a dirt bike racer in his earlier years and loved fast cars. He was a big Dale Earnhardt fan, and also a Harley Davidson man. Wid worked at Burlington Industries for several years. He was a truck driver throughout the years for different people and companies. Wid enjoyed fishing, water skiing, Horseback riding, and riding with friends in Wagon Trains. He especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. Wid was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Those left to cherish his memories in addition to his father, Porter Stout, daughter, Amanda Boone and husband Justin, son, Richard Stout, sister, Sandra Pleasant and husband David, brother, Troy Stout, grandchildren, Marissa, Ethan and Ryan Gibson, Chase and Ashley Boone and Gracie Stout, mother of his children, Brenda Smith, niece, Deirdre Lunceford, nephews, Scotty and Chris Pleasant, aunts, uncle and cousins also survive. The family will receive friends on Monday July 18, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Mountain City Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dennis Peterson to officiate. Graveside service and burial will follow from the Shoun- McEwen Cemetery, Pallbearers will be, Scotty Pleasant, Brad Lunceford, Loki Lunceford, Mike Pleasant, Sammy Lunceford, David Pleasant and Chris Pleasant. Honorary Pallbearers are, Lisa Cook, Megan Barber and staff of Pleasants store in Doeville, Craig Peters, Tim Church, Charlie Lowe, Kenneth Lowe, Terry Atwood and Robert Pleasant.
