Thomas "Tom" Dixon

Thomas “Tom” Edward Dixon, age 70, of Trade, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Mountain City, TN on November 12, 1953 to the late Bill Dixon and Helen Porter Shull. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Haynes and two brothers, Billy Dixon and Harry Dixon; infant grandson, Michael Dixon.

Tom was an avid motorcycle rider and was a vintage motorcycle collector. He also enjoyed hill climbing, fishing , being in the outdoors, and gardening. Thomas loved his family very much and was passionate about all the things he cared about.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of almost 53 years, Beverly Dixon; daughter, Jennifer Dixon Rose and husband Travis; son, Tommy Dixon Jr.; sisters, Lisa Brown of Hickory, NC, Angie Icard ,Jayne Hall of Lenoir, NC, Virginia Dixon of West Chester, PA; brother, Trinity Shull of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Olivia Dixon, Helen Dixon, and Eden Dixon; Aunts, Carolyn Hantson and Nancy Price of Lenoir, NC; uncles, Harry Porter of Florida and Ed Porter of Shady Valley, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Porter, Johnny Norris, Trinity Shull, Tommy Dixon, Travis Rose, Mark Oswald, Virgil Smith, and Dirky Wilson.
