Thomas Stout

Thomas Stout, age 34, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. He was born June 11, 1990 in Boone, NC to Thomas Stout and Sandra Worley. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles & Christine Stout and Clifford & Genevia Worley; uncle, Johnny Stout; and  aunt, Glenda McCulloch.

Thomas wore many hats and there wasn’t much he couldn’t do. He worked many places from running heavy equipment, millwrighting and at Johnson County EMS. He was a beacon of light to his colleagues and everyone else in his life. Known for his unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and dedication to serving others, Thomas touched the lives of everyone he met. He was the kind of person who always had a smile ready, making even the toughest days a little bit brighter. One thing Thomas wanted was just to be a Dad. He attended Community Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his mother, Sandra Worley & Michael Henson; father and stepmother, Thomas and Kimberly Stout; daughter, Adalynn Stout & her mother Katelyn Osborne; sister, Cassandra Cruz; nephews, Christian, Daniel, Giovani, and Remington; brother, Riley Stout; cousins, Jocelyn Stout, Michael Walsh, Angie Walsh, Pat and Eddie Clawson, Jason Clawson, Faith Henson, Trey, Adam, Wyatt, Wesley, Izzy, Todd, Lacinda, Gregory, Ryan, & Matthew; uncles, Clifton Worley & wife Michelle, and Jimmy McCulloch; aunts, Lisa Shore & husband Bubba, and Sherry Moose; special friend, Mike Brooks; too many family, friends, and cousins to mention and his dog, Tank.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January, 13, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Dean Visser to officiate. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
