Stacy Miller

Stacy Ray Miller, born November 27, 1973, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2024. He was born in Athens County Hospital to Donald Ray Miller and Paula Joyce Maynard Miller. Stacy was preceded in death by his Aunt Sue and Uncle Ivan.

Stacy grew up in Vinton County, OH and attended Vinton County Schools. He was the ideal outdoorsman who loved going fishing, hunting, and hiking on the river. He also enjoyed a good game of rook. Stacy worked hard for his family and enjoyed working alongside his son in the construction business. 

Those left to honor his memory include the love of his life for the past 22 years, Lisa Farthing Miller; son, Dustin Ray Miller; parents, Paula J. and Donald R. Miller; brother, Tracy D. Miller and wife Abigail of Georgia; sister, Tammy Shunk and husband Jeffery of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Jeff Farthing; sister-in-law, Tammy Farthing Ward; aunt, Loretta Richards; special friends that he cherished, Art Hileman, Charlie Brown, LJ Brooks, and Roger Carmelo. He also had several nieces and nephews that brought him joy and lovely memories. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Larry Pearson officiating. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow the funeral at the Payne Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dustin Miller, Jeff Farthing, Jason Napier, Ray Lambert, Jason Lambert, David Fletcher, Stevie Shoun, and Nicholas Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Ward, Richard Farthing, and Tracy Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mountain City Funeral Home.
