Rebecca Miller

Rebecca Miller, age 84, passed away October 21, 2024. She was born May 12, 1940 to the late Denver and Ruby Main Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Ivey Miller and brother, D.E. Church. 

Rebecca was kind, hardworking, and shared so much love with those around her. Her passion was flowers and she enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in her garden. She liked to sing, especially country and gospel songs. Rebecca loved Christmas and her favorite carol was Silent Night. Her husband Ivey was the love of her life and there is comfort in knowing they are reunited once again in heaven.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Colleen Ward and Vickie Miller; granddaughter, Ivey Elizabeth Bryant; sister, Thelma Ruth Thomas; sisters-in-law, Sue Martin, Lucy Miller, Betsy Church; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends who knew of her love and kindness.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 with Pastors Derrick Wilson and Tony Potter officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow from the Mains-Miller Cemetery in Trade, TN. Pallbearers will be Hank Bryant, Tony Woodard, Seth Morrison, and Grant Morrison. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Thomas, Eddie Dishman, Glenn David Dishman, James Wallace, Jesse South, and Jay Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rebecca’s special caregivers Brenda, Barbara, Sam, Connie, Pat, Kelly, Phyllis, Jennifer, and Harleah.
