Phyllis “Toody” Ann Tilley

Phyllis “Toody” Tilley, age 72 of Mountain City, TN, passed away Thursday morning July 11, 2024 at the home of her sister. She was born on January 1st, 1952, in Butler, TN to the late Winnie Tilley and Abbie Wallace Tilley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Tilley, brother-in-law, Lon Greenwell, sister-in-law, Lynn Tilley.

Toody was born in Tennessee later moved to Ohio and worked until her retirement from Stouffers Frozen Foods and moved back to Mountain City. She attended Wesley Chapel Church in Shingletown.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sister and caregiver, Betty Greenwell and her family Mary Jo Walsh (Jeremy) there daughter, Tasha and her son Oakley; Jason Greenwell (Tracy) and there son Clay (Josie) and his son Brayden all of Mountain City, TN; brothers, Eulace Wallace (Julie) and Joe Tilley of Mantua, Ohio and there families in Ohio. Special friends and neighbors helping out with Toody, Pauline Greer and Tina & Cookie Payne.

It was Toody’s wish to be cremated and no formal service held.

Betty would like to say a special Thank You to the Amedysis Hospice Staff, especially Gail Miller and to the Wesley Chapel Church family, Pauline Greer and Tina & Cookie Payne, for all that they have done during Toody’s illness.
