Phyllis Shepherd

Phyllis Joan Shepherd, age 80 of Mountain City, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Watauga Medical Center. Phyllis was born January 18, 1945 to the late Ciscero and Iva Dean Rutter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shelton Shepherd; sister, Margaret Manuel and brothers, Herbert Rutter, Lester Rutter and Sam Rutter.

Those left to cherish her memories include her sons, Billy Ray Shepherd and Robert Stewart Shepherd; sisters, Shelby Hodge, Lois Roark, Betty Henson, Glenda Shepherd; brothers, David Rutter and Larry Rutter; several nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Blevins Cemetery in Shady Valley, TN.

The family of Phyllis Joan Shepherd has entrusted her services to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
