Melissa Scott

Melissa Kaye Scott, age 52 of Mountain City, TN, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born November 29, 1971 to the late Ida Belle Pleasant and Bennie H. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Scott and two brothers, Jeff and Michael Pleasant.

Survivors include three children, Holly Scott, Caleb Scott (Sarah) and Christian Cox (Brandan); six grandchildren, Will and Waylon Hughes, Bella and Brandan Cox Jr., Aleya and Winter Hargett; two sisters, Janet Mahala, Patricia Payne (Steve); two brothers, Jimmy Parker (Kathy), Benjamin Pleasant, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also known as Momma Missy to most of the kids in the community. She was loved and will be missed dearly.

There will be no formal service held.
