Marlene Dugger

Martha Marlene Dugger, age 72, of Butler, TN passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1950 in Carter County, TN to the late Dayton Clawson and Bertha Ruth Potter Clawson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dugger; sister, Shirley Guy; and great grandchild, Malachi Velazquez. Marlene instantly made friends with anyone she met and everyone she met loved her. She was easy to talk to and get along with. Martha enjoyed nature, taking walks, and working in her flowers, especially her sunflowers. She loved her family and her dogs, Little Bit and Lady Bug, very much. Those left to cherish her memoires include her daughters, Heather Hartley (Jody) and Tammy Velazquez (Dario); sons, Brad Dugger (Janet), Craig Dugger (Heather), and Michael Dugger; brother, Marvin Clawson; grandchildren, Kelsey Hartley, Cody Hartley, Stephanie Hartley, Breanna Dugger, Austin Clawson, Rojelio Velazquez, Jose Velazquez, Anthony Dugger, Cayden Dugger, and Zachary Dugger; special nephew, Troy Guy; special friends, Wanda Passmore, Barb Gilbert, Thelma Stanton and Sheila Trivette; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Stout Hill Church of Christ(434 Poga Road, Butler, TN, 37640). The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Donnie Cable to officiate. The graveside service and burial will follow the funeral from the Clawson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tristen Johnson, Cody Hartley, Rojelio Velazquez, Joe Hatley, Mark Trivette and Zane Church. Honorary pallbearers are Jose Velazquez, Troy Guy, Dario Velazquez, Austin Clawson, and Jody Hartley. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Joanie, Heather, and Gail with Amedysis Hospice and Mr. Donnie Cable for all their love and care, and Donnie Stout for all his kindness.
