Margaret Holland

Margaret Ann Holland, age 88, passed away October 28, 2022 at Mountain City Care Center. Margaret was a native of Portageville, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Adolfus Penrod and Celesta Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewel E. Holland; daughters, Mary Zoellner, Patricia Penrod and her husband Rodney Penrod; sister, Norma Jones; brother, Raymond Ross and daughter-in-law, Pamela Holland. In Tennessee, she was a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church and in Michigan she was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship. Survivors include her two daughters; Nancy and husband Terry Bowen of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Vicky Holland of Scott City, Missouri; one son and his wife, Mark and Elizabeth Holland of Mountain City; one sister, Reba Zimmerman of Moscow Mills, Missouri; one brother and his wife, Rodney and Cynthia Ross of Nashville, Illinois; 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and many grafted in; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Leonard Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow at Phillippi Cemetery. Margaret’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. At other times, friends and family may visit the home of her son, Mark Holland.
