Larry Jim Davis

Larry Jim Davis, age 76 of Mountain City, passed away July 24, 2024 at Watauga Medical Center. Larry Jim was born December 19, 1947 to the late James and Lola Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry “Bud” Davis, Jr. and sister, Marilyn Lunceford.

Larry Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming. He also liked watching Johnson County High School sports, especially when his grandkids were playing. He was a big UT Vols fan and liked playing pool. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his daughters, Stacie Davis and Lisa Davis; sisters, Marbeth Wilder, Judy Williams; grandchildren, Sean Klukan, Gabriella “Ella” Conder, Marlayna “Marly” Conder, Noah Conder, Eric Davis, Colleen Conder, Seth Conder, Vivanna Torres-Davis, Gavan Conder, Treasure Torres-Harp; great grandchildren, Ryan Klukan, Connor Klukan, Tyr Torres-Harp, Talyn Torres-Harp; nieces and nephews, Linda Church, Nikki Church, Belinda Lunceford, Danny Lunceford (deceased), Chris Lunceford(deceased);, Lola Wilder, Mike Wilder, Steve Wilder, special friends, Rhonda Proffitt, Betty Greenwell, R.E. Brown, Kenny Gregg, Lauralee South and several cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Donald Davis officiating. The graveside and burial will follow at Burley-Shoun Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sean Klukan, Eric Davis, Seth Conder, Gavan Conder, Noah Conder, Jeff Burrows, Ryan Burrows, and Jared Burrows. Honorary pallbearers are Colton Arnold and Roger Chuderewicz.
