June Woodard

June Woodard, age 84, passed away Friday April 21, 2023. She was born June 6, 1938 to the late James Edward Wright and Ruth Harper Wright. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Royce “Bud” Woodard and brothers, Paul Wright, R.G. Wright and wife, Dee, Boyd Wright and wife, Sharlene, Loyd Wright and wife, Kitty, and David Wright.

Most of all, June loved and adored her daughter and granddaughters. She was well known for her sewing talents and beautiful quilts. June had a green thumb and loved gardening and her flowers. She also enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and shopping trips with her sisters. June was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Vicki Spangler (David); granddaughters, Abby and Emily Spangler; sisters, Phyllis Steagall, Priscilla Wilcox, Reba Perdue (Johnny); Sue Gentry (Conley), and Lois Blevins (Roger); sisters-in-law, Lois Wright, Wilma Overstreet, and Joyce Payne; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Park with Danny Cullop to officiate. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
