Joseph Glenn "Joe" Mullis

Joseph Glenn “Joe” Mullis, age 70, of 1146 Peak Rd., Creston, NC, passed away on Sunday morning, August 22, 2021 at his residence. He was born on June 26, 1951 to Frances Elizabeth Osborne Mullis and the late William Mullis. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Charles and daughter, Jolene; brother, William Charles "Billy" Mullis, Jr. Joe was an avid outdoors man and was called the Black Squirrel Man and he worked many years at the hardware store. Joe was a member of Sutherland United Methodist Church. He is survived by his mother, Frances Osborne Mullis; wife, Judy Knight Mullis; son, Jeremy Mullis and wife Ashley; grandson, Benjamin Joseph; sister, Mary Myers; brothers, Bobby, Jimmy, Lester, Tommy and Roger Mullis; special friends, Eidson Gilley, Ricky May; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and neighbors. Per Joe’s wishes, he will be buried at the Knight Cemetery on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Owen Peeler to officiate.
