Johnny Patrick

Johnny "John" Fieldon Patrick, age 85, passed away on November 13, 2024 at his home in Creston, North Carolina surrounded by family. He was born on November 16, 1938 to the late Robert and Gladys Patrick. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Wayne Patrick, daughter-in-law Brenda Patrick; sisters, Jean Howell and Minnie Osborne; and brother, Joe Patrick. 

John was known for his humorous, caring, and determined nature. Throughout his life, he was a hard worker, taking great pride in every task he undertook. A man of many interests, John enjoyed being outdoors, playing guitar and wood working in his spare time. He constructed many projects including water wheels, swings, benches, wishing wells, and bird houses. He found joy in watching birds come and go from his houses and feeders. One of John's favorite places to sit was by his pond, relaxing in his swing. These hobbies reflected his love for nature and the outdoors, and they brought him much peace and fulfillment throughout his life. 

John leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Patrick; his daughter, Missy Williams and spouse Ricky of Creston; five grandchildren, Chris Williams, Rachel (Johnny) Farmer, Courtney (Tanner) Elliott, Brittany Patrick and Leah Williams; one great-grandchild, Emmaline Farmer; one brother, Earl Patrick; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Danny Joe Farmer officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Williams, Chris Williams, Johnny Farmer, Tanner Elliott, Billy Patrick, and Scott Patrick.
