John Spencer

John P. Spencer, age 71, was called home to our heavenly Father on January 29, 2025. He had been battling cancer for 2 years and was surrounded by loved ones during his ascension. He was born November 25, 1953 in Herkimer, NY as one of four brothers to Ernest and Betty Spencer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Richard Spencer and nephew, Wyatt J. Spencer.

He is survived by the love of his life for 45 years, Jacqueline M. Spencer; three children, Joshua Spencer, Jessica Spencer and Jacob Spencer; eight grandchildren, Erin, Joshua, Ryan, Peyton, Zeneth, Joseph, Ariana, and Anthony; two brothers, Herbert and Marylyn Spencer and James and Bonnie Spencer and over 88 nieces and nephews. He was a loving brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather.

There will be no formal services held.

The family of John Paul Spencer has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
