Jennie Copensky

Jennie Mary Copensky, age 90 of Creston, NC, passed away July 29, 2023. Jennie was born March 7, 1933 in Rockaway, New Jersey to the late Giovioni and Lucretia Buff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Caroline Copensky and son, John Copensky.

Jennie was very creative and retired as a graphic artist from UNC Chapel Hill. She was an amazing gardener and enjoyed studying horticulture. She also loved being at home, entertaining, and volunteering at the Riverview Community Center in Creston. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her loving husband of almost 70 years, Edward Copensky, daughter, Lisa Copensky-Tucker and son, Edward Copensky, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family of Jennie Mary Copensky has entrusted her care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
