Jeffery Colis Main

Jeffery "Colis" Main (81) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at home. He resided in Trade, TN most of his life and recently moved to Bristol, TN. 

He was an active member of Central Baptist Church of Abingdon, VA. Colis served the Lord all his life. He loved gospel music. He lead choir and sang in quartets many, many years. He was an avid foxhunter and enjoyed going regularly with his friends. Next to the Lord, he loved his family. 

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ted and Goldie Main, and his sister, Lina “Mazel” Brown. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Billie Jean Main; his daughters, Jeanie Broyles (Tim) and Jessica Reece (Danny); his grandkids, Jackie Ray Frye (Logan), Austin Edward Frye (Laura), Colson Broyles, Evanna Reece; one great granddaughter, Raegan Jean Frye; along with his four siblings, Darwin Main (Patty), Lolita Main Dickens, Cleve Main (Mary Sue) and Kerry Main (Wadie). Colis had many nieces, nephews, friends, and church family. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with his Pastor Les Ketron and Pastor Derek Wilson officiating and special singing by Diane Bauguess, Dorothy Bauguess, Tony and Sherri Potter. The burial will be held at Greer Main Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jackie Frye, Austin Frye, Paul Wilson, Randy Brown, Kevin Main, and Robbie Main. Honorary pallbearer is Colson Broyles. Family will receive visitors at his home, 143 Lake View Estates Dr., Bristol TN.
