James O. Honaker

James O. (Jimmy) Honaker, age 78, of Mountain City, TN, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Jimmy was born on April 1, 1946 in Bristol, VA to and the late Otis (Cannonball) Honaker and Inez Harris Honaker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Rebecca LeeAnna Johnson of Cedar Bluff, VA.

 Jimmy was raised in Whitewood VA and the Steelesburg community of Cedar Bluff, VA; he attended Richlands High School and was a 1964 graduate. He was a Heavy Equipment operator for 40 years. Jimmy was a member of Cedar Bluff VA Masonic Lodge #260 since 1972. He was a member of Old Glade Antique Tractor Association of Glade Spring VA; Foothills Antique Tractor Association out of Newton, NC; and Tri-State Antique Power Association of Gray, TN.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lee Kidd officiating. Burial will follow in Cress Cemetery.
