James Arthur Greene

James Arthur Greene, age 72, passed away on April 20, 2023 at his home. Arthur was born February 2, 1951 to the late Darrell and Ola Mae Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Greene; uncle, John David Greene, Roy Greene, and aunt, Loetta Bright.

Arthur enjoyed being outdoors. Over the years he liked fishing, gardening, and growing fruit trees. He loved his family dearly, including his dogs, Tater, Roscoe, and Peanut. He was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife, Daphne Greene; son, Tim Greene; brother in law, Kenny Greene; uncle, Bob Greene; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Greene officiating.
