Iva Lea Stout

Ivalea Price Stout, age 80, passed away on Thursday evening May 27, 2021 at Watauga Medical Center. Ivalea was born on March 20, 1941 to the late Harley “Buck” Wallace and Beulah Snyder Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Farris Stout; father of her children, Ernest Price; son, Rick Price; infant son William Price; brother, Bob Wallace; sister, Betty Eldreth; grandson, Robert Jordan Main. Ivalea was a lifelong resident of Mountain City. She retired from Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC. She was also well known from working at Hardee’s after her retirement. She loved Blake Shelton, family get-togethers, and being with her great grandsons. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Pam Price; sons, Steven Paul Price, Mike Price; sisters, Mary Lewis, Patsy Roark; grandchildren, Tony Price and fiancé Laurel Howard, Bradley Price, Ashley Price and fiancé Timmy Hayes, Lakota Shyann Price; great grandchildren, Nate Price and Lucas Hayes; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Snyder Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Lewis, Timmy Hayes, Eric Roark, Sam Wilson, Tony Price, and Steve Price.
