Irene Potter

Saldie Irene Potter, age 96, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2024 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born April 25, 1927 to the late John and Viola Potter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Bruce Potter; sisters, Thelma Stevenson and Bonnie Wallace; and brothers, Clarence Potter and Robe Potter.

Irene is survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Derrick Wilson to officiate. The graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Rainbow Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Rodger Potter, Trowa Potter, and Curtis Potter.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center. The family respectfully requests no food.
