Hal Wagner

Hal D. Wagner, age 93, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday morning, February 10, 2025 at his residence. Hal was born on January 22, 1932 in Johnson County, TN, to the late Noah Macon (Fred) Wagner and Rose Ella Potter Wagner. 

Hal was a cabinet and furniture maker by trade and took pride in the beautiful things he made. Hal played several different instruments. He loved playing music and getting together with other musicians and playing. Hal also loved being a pilot and enjoyed flying his plane for many years. Hal was a member of Mountain City Church of Christ. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary O. Wagner; daughter, Diane May; son, David Wagner; step-son, Tim Osborne and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Isaac May and Alyia May; step-grandchildren, Chris Osborne, Sydney Osborne and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

It was Hal’s wishes to be cremated and no formal service held.
