Gladys Marie Adams, age 77 of Trade, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday evening July 11, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family after a long fight of cancer.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, Robert French and Emma Jean Mabe and her sister, Evelyn Thomas.
Gladys was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and wife. She loved spending time on her front porch swing, swinging with her husband who she loved very much. Gladys also loved her scratch off lottery tickets. She loved her girls, but she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also loved her flowers and being outside.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 54 years, Everett Adams; sister, Brenda Brummett (Jimmy); brother, Cecil Mabe; daughters, Belinda Price (Cathy Phillips) of Mountain City, Jeannie Pelletier (Janel) of Boone, NC; special niece, Missy Lipford (Bob) of Zionville, NC; grandkids, Brandon Adams, Tiffany House (Hunter), Taylor Lipford (Stevie), Jacob Pelletier, Joshua Pelletier, Joshia Pelletier, Robert Wilson; great grandkids, Maverick House, Oliver Pelletier and Kylie, Leo, Bentley, Gary Wayne, Colton, Elliott, Karter, Kayden, Nate all who called her Mamaw as well. special friend, John Price.
The graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at Trade Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tony Potter officiating.
Friends and family may visit the home, 617 Modock Road, Trade, TN 37691. The family respectfully requests no food or flowers; memorial donations can be made to Seby Jones Cancer Center of Boone, 338 Deerfield Rd, Boone, NC 28607.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lindsey Yoggerst, Gentiva Hospice, and all the many friends that helped care for Gladys.
