Gerhard Martin Braun

  Gerhard Martin Braun, age 89, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 30, 1929 in Pforzheim, Germany to the late Edward Martin Braun and Margaret Erhard Braun.  In addition to his parents, Gerhard was preceded in death by his son, Peter G. Braun and brother, Hans J. Braun.    He was an Accomplished Wood Carver and received many awards for his carvings. Gerhard was a member of First Christian Church.   Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 60 years, Ila Enabnit Braun; daughter, Rebecca J. Braun-Perusse and husband Douglas E. Perusse, grandchildren; Jeremiah L. Braun and wife Christina Vliet and Rachel Frances and husband J. Frances; step granddaughter, Jennifer Johnson and husband Steve Johnson, step grandson, Michael P. Perusse, three nieces and nephews.   Graveside service and interment is scheduled at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in New Jersey for Tuesday September 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.       Condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.mountaincityfh.com
