Ferinda Steely

Ferinda L. Steely, affectionately known as “Bubbles,” went home to be with the Lord and savior on June 23, 2023. She was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 13, 1959 to the late Clarence M. and Mary L. (Hawks) Burkey.

In life, Bubbles was an amazingly strong woman who overcame many odds and lived life to the fullest. She was spirited, creative, kind and gave more than she asked for in return. She was a loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many and to others she was whatever they needed her to be. She enjoyed TV classics such as The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie, a morning cup of coffee and bag of Goods potato chips.

She is reunited in Heaven with her parents, Clarence and Mary Burkey and two brothers, Buster and Brad Burkey. She is survived by the countless lives that she has touched and who will carry the memory of her for years to come. 

The family would like to thank the Johnston Memorial Hospital CCU for the wonderful care that she received during her stay and also, Mountain City Funeral Home. 

There will be no formal services held.
