Eva Stanley

Eva Jane Stanley, age 85, passed away January 29, 2024 at Mountain City Care Center. Eva was born August 17, 1938 to the late Lillard and Mary Combs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Brooks and Carl Stanley; daughter, Kathy Testerman; grandson, Chris Brooks; and brothers, David Combs and William Combs. 

Eva was giving and caring; she would give her last penny to someone in need. She was a great cook and was known for her biscuits and gravy. Eva loved to watch Days of Our Lives and enjoyed talking on the phone. She was a member of Ackerson Creek Church of Christ for many years.

Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Michael Brooks and wife, Brenda; granddaughter, Tonia Jones and husband, Chris; great-grandson, Cash Jones; brother, Fred Combs; stepchildren, Steve Stanley and wife Kim, Jerry Stanley and wife Perriann, and Tony Stanley and wife Charmin; step-grandchildren, Faye Baker, Justin Stanley, Tanieka Halberg, Leslie Forrester, Ashley James, Katie Stanley, Kayla Stanley and Jessica Jupin; several step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Delmar Stanley and wife Evelyn. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home.
