Elizabeth Nunan-Wahby

Elizabeth Ann Nunan-Wahby, age 72, of Butler, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Signature Health & Rehabilitation in Elizabethton, TN. Elizabeth was born on December 14, 1952 in Maine. Elizabeth’s memory will go on by her husband, Dr. Victor Wahby. 

Elizabeth gave the bulk of her adult years to the Medical Musical Group. She was a truly legendary Program Coordinator of the MMG. Elizabeth succeeded another legendary Coordinator, Ms. Nevart Haley. The two women helped MMG represent the American people in friendship musical events in over 30 nations in 5 continents. This, in addition to concerts at major concert halls at home, at the White House, the Pentagon, the US Congress and for the United Nations. In the process, MMG came to be considered the premier integrated medical choral-orchestral organization in the world.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m., Friday, April 4, 2025, at Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683. Graveside service and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, TN, with Reverend Chris Hughes officiating.
