Edison A. Gillis Jr

Edison A. Gillis Jr., age 79, of Riverside, California, was welcomed home for eternity by his Lord and Savior after a long, hard fight with cancer on January 15, 2019. 

He was born on August 27, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edison A. and Ethel Gillis.  Edison was a resident of Butler, Tennessee for 21 years and a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his loving wife, Ruth Ann Gillis; sons; Tim Gillis and wife Val of FL and Todd Gillis of OH; daughter, Tami Trexler and husband Don of CA; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his precious and loyal Yorkie, Rags; brothers, Jay Gillis of FL, Jim Gillis and wife Carol of MI; and many cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank GHC Hospice of Inland, CA for their help and support and to Research for  Life of Temecula, CA for their service of helping others with research of prostate cancer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Dyson Grove Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
