Earl Gene Wilson

Earl Gene Wilson, age 69, passed away on October 24, 2022 at the Watauga Medical Center. He was born February 13, 1953 to the late Claude and Frances Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Wilson Huffman. Earl was a truck driver and equipment operator for many years. He was slow-moving and never got too excited over anything. He loved the Lord, Jesus, and attended Victory Cowboy Church when he lived in Mountain City. Those left to cherish his memories include his daughter, Brittany Wilson; step-daughter, Mindy; brothers, Clarence Wilson, Jerry Wilson (Patsy), Ronald Wilson (Linda); sisters, Lena Combs, Lois Jestes, Elizabeth Carter (Mike), Blanche Jones; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bill McGuire and Darren Thomas officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Lower Beaver Dam Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
