Dorothy Lewis

Dorothy Lewis, age 73, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Watauga Medical Center. Dorothy was born April 1, 1951 to the late Raymond and Helen Thompson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristy Corona and two step-children, Mary Ann Marchesani and Joseph Lewis.

Dorothy was a natural caregiver and worked as an LPN her entire career. She also took care of loved ones and helped raise her grandson for many years. Dorothy loved going to church while she was able and was of the Baptist faith. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Clyde Lewis; son, Chad Anderson; grandchildren, Nevon James Corona, Molley Marchesani, Kattie Marchesani, Asia Lewis, and Anthony Carletti; and 2 great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Anthony Roark and James Henson officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow from the Mountain View Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Barney Mahala, Bruce Mahala, Ronnie Roark, Buster Mahala, and Nevon Corona.
