Donna Jean Taylor

Donna Jean Taylor, age 69, passed away February 25, 2024 in Winston Salem, NC. Donna was born January 2, 1955 to the late Robert and Ila Mae Hampton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Hampton; niece, Kim Hampton- Dunn and nephew, Danny Hampton.

Donna was lovingly known to her family as “Jean Bean” or “Gigi”. She loved her family and enjoyed shopping, game nights, and family gatherings. She was a member of Mountain City Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Angie Ward and husband Shawn, Ashely Taylor; brothers, Allen Hampton and wife Linda, Terry Hampton and wife Joy; grandchildren, Sawyer Ward (Amber), Cassidy Ward (Chad); great grandchildren, Lily, Easton, Bryson, Covie, Braylon, Paisley Jean, Zayd, Finley; two special dogs, Precious and Deebo; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The graveside service and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with Pastor Daniel Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be Sawyer Ward, Chad Hodgkiss,  Shawn Ward, Tommy Key and Buck Kirby.

At other times, friends and family may visit the home of her daughter Angie Ward, 162 Willow Circle, Mountain City, TN 37683.
