Dillard Lewis

Dillard Lewis, age 77, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was born January 21, 1947 to the late Robert and Dana Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude Lewis and Dexter Lewis.

Dill enjoyed nature and being in the woods. He was a kind-hearted man and was always there for anyone who needed him. He loved all his kids and grandkids dearly. He also had the greatest sense of humor and liked to pick at the people he liked. He also really enjoyed making birdhouses.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 33 years, Mary Lewis; daughters, Becky Dowell (Bobby), Pam Blackburn (Jerry); son, Bobby Lewis (Mary); sisters, Annie Parker, Bonnie Wright, Eleanor Wyatt; brothers, Earl Lewis, Norman Lewis, Archie Lewis; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastors Bill Morefield and Anthony Roark officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at Green Cove Missionary Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cory Pennington, Chris Severt, Caleb Blackburn, Ogene Greer, Tony Walls, and Nicky Lewis.
