Dick Jenkins

Dick Jenkins, age 75, passed away November 11, 2024 at his home. Dick was born December 12, 1948 to the late Geraldine Jenkins. 

Dick enjoyed watching NASCAR and spending the winters in Florida where he had many friends. Dick was the previous owner of Boyz Transportation in Mountain City. He loved his dog Sasha, his faithful companion. He was a member of Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 22 years, Monica Jenkins; daughter, Kelly Jenkins; sons, Eric Hernandez, Oscar Vega (Bonnie), Chris Hernandez (Stephanie); sister, Joy Adams (Bill); mother in-law, Elisa Vega; grandchildren, Ty, Grayson, Kagen, and Kennedy Cowan, Bella, EJ, Evie, and Monica Hernandez, Aviree and Griffin Moore; nephews, David, Keith, and Adam Wilson; several great grandchildren and many special friends. 

It was Dick’s wish to be cremated and no formal service held. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

The family of Dick Jenkins has entrusted his care to Mountain City Funeral Home, 224 S. Church Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
