Clarice Crowder

Clarice Lewis Crowder, age 68, passed away March 24, 2024 at her home. Clarice was born July 30, 1955 to the late Ben Lewis and Lydia McQueen Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Lewis and brothers, Calvin Lewis and Connie Lewis.

Clarice was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. It was evident that Clarice had total faith and trust in God. She was very proud of her daughters and loved getting to spend time and taking trips with her grandchildren. She loved traveling and spending time outdoors with her family, going camping, hunting, hiking, and her time spent in the west. She was also very talented at knitting and crocheting and was always up for a shopping trip. Clarice enjoyed praising the Lord in song and sharing the gospel. Clarice was a member of First Baptist Church in Damascus where she served in the Prayer Shawl ministry; she loved her church and church family dearly. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 50 years, Randy Crowder; daughters, Christine Carter and husband Ron, Leslie Davis and husband Darren; grandchildren, Alex and Shana Carter, Colton and Callie Saults; brothers and sisters in law, Jim and Michelle Crowder, Linda and Larry Wilson, Phyllis and Steve Redden, Patricia and Randy Blevins, Susan and Randy Simcox; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Pastors John Hammett and Sam Vanslyke officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow at Reece Memorial Cemetery.
