Carol Mink

Carol Mink, age 76, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at her home. She was born July 23, 1948 to the late Cletus and Charlotte Waggy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Janet Greene and Daureen Tedder, and brothers, Perry Waggy, Eddie Waggy, Phil Waggy, Gary Waggy, and Dan Waggy.

 

Carol enjoyed being outside, particularly working in her yard, and she loved her flowers. She worked at Mountain City Elementary for 35 years. She was a long time faithful member of Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church.

 

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband of 48 years, Larry Mink; daughters, Tina Miller and husband Danny, Renee Eller and husband Scotty, and Charlene McCarty and husband Mike; son, Jon Mink and the late Laura Mink; brothers, David Waggy and Norman Waggy; grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Eli, Isaiah, Emma, Grayson, and Madison; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

 

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Gambill Springs-Locust Gap Cemetery with Pastors Shannon Courtner and Teddy Lewis to officiate.
