Brockton Asher Fritts, age 8, of Butler passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 due to an accident. Brock was born on August 19, 2014 to David and Donna Arnold Fritts. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louis (Butch) Allen Fritts, Jr.
Brock was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of six and was always very strong, brave, and accepting of his diagnosis. Brock loved history and could keep you entertained by telling you everything he knew, even if you didn’t want to know. He could tell you the dates of when every Godzilla and Titanic movie came out. He was wide open 24/7 and loved life. He was a big jokester and would do anything to scare someone or make them laugh. He loved Jesus and talking about Jesus and would always send videos to spread the Gospel. One of his favorite things to do was play cops and robbers while chasing his sister around on the mini bike and 4-wheeler. He loved to chase his dog, Oliver around the house and keep him safe and loved cats, especially CeCe. He would do anything to be able to jump on the trampoline.
Those left to cherish his memories include his Mom and Dad, David and Donna Fritts; sister Hannah Fritts; maternal grandparents, Bud and Helen Arnold; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Fritts; aunts and uncles, David and Brenda Arnold, Dianna and Kenny Luckett, Christy Fritts; first cousins, Ashley and David Casaday (Tatum), Nathan Arnold, Trevor Luckett, Hayden Luckett (Maddi), Hailey Shephard, Mark Fritts; many other great aunts, uncles, and cousins; special family friends, Autumn Shepherd and Candi Presnell.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Kreg Smith and Pastor Sam Icenhour officiating. The graveside service and burial will immediately follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adam Walsh, Mikey Jones, Trevor Luckett, Hayden Luckett, Mark Fritts, Nathan Arnold, Brandon Weaver, and Isaiah Fenner. Honorary pallbearers will be David Casaday, Shannon Payne, Glen Shupe, Connor Icenhour, Mark Hagaman (principal at Doe Elementary) and Coach Eric Crabtree.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a special account at Farmer’s State Bank in the name of his parents, David and Donna Fritts.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 10893 Hwy 67 W., Butler, TN 37640.
The family would like to thank the staff of Doe Elementary School for taking such good care of Brock, especially Ciera Poteet for being the best school nurse and loving Brock like her own. Another special thanks to Janet Brooks for all the long walks at school and Kim Roark and Helen Osborne for helping him to grow while they had him in daycare. Last but not least, the family appreciates their softball families for including Brock in everything.
