Bill Jones

Bill Jones, age 80, passed away February 25, 2025 at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, NC. Bill was born April 14, 1944 to the late Pierce Preston Jones and Hazel Price Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Margaret Bennett and Betty Osborne and brother, Delbert Lipford.

Those left to cherish his memories include his sisters, Stella Ruth Osborne, Helen McCoy; brother, Donald Lee Jones; special nephew, Billy Jones and wife Maricka; special friends, Webb & Gloria Griffith and Amy Nelson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Preacher Bill Worley officiating. The burial will follow at Lewis-Jones Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
