Betty Roark

Betty Lou Price Roark, age 85, of Creston, NC, went home with her Lord and Savior on Sunday evening, July 7, 2024 at Margate Health and Rehab. She was born March 9, 1939 to the late Olen and Nettie Ella Price. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gordon Roark.

Betty was a very kind person and a true Christian woman. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible. Betty will be missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memories include her brothers, Harold Dean Price and wife Lois of Jefferson, NC, Tommy Price and wife Brenda of West Jefferson, NC, and Jerry Price of West Jefferson, NC; sisters, Carolyn Combs and husband Dale of Glendale Springs, NC, and Nancy Lyall of Wilkesboro, NC; special sister-in-law, Norene Roark; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Jim Henson and Anthony Roark officiating. The graveside service and burial will follow from the Price-Roark Cemetery in Rock Creek, NC. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
