Betty Jane Fenner Gentry

Betty Jane Fenner Gentry, age 82, passed away September 16, 2024. 

Betty was a steel worker at Columbus McKinnon in Damascus, VA and a former EMT with Damascus Rescue Squad. Betty was a member of Highlands Fellowship in Abingdon, VA and was a passionate volunteer at the church pantry.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Barbara Robinette and husband Jon, Johnna Robbins and husband Tom; sons, Jonathan Matthew Cook, Michael Cook and wife Sandy; sisters, Judy Secrest, Jean Kasserman; grandchildren, Michelle Cook, Miranda Humphrey(Jay), Nathan Robinette (Noel), Josh Robinette (Vicki), Lindsey Davis (Troy), Clay Robbins, Sam Robbins (Sadie), Amanda Land (Tyler), Jessica Angel; great grandchildren, Caleb Robinette, Laney Robinette, Olivia Robinette, Madison Robinette, Kayden Humphrey, Jaylyn Humphrey, Noah and Ethan Combs, Cady Davis; great great grandson, Noah Land; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Mountain City Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzeimer’s Association of Knoxville Alzheimer’s Association, 2200 Sutherland Ave., Suite H102, Knoxville, TN 37919.
