Beckie Dickens

Beckie Dickens, age 40, passed away April 24, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center. Beckie was born October 3, 1982 in Boone, NC to Ed Barnett and Barbara Denney and the late Dean Denney. In addition, she was preceded in death by Anthony Howard, Mark Roark, and Jeffrey Denney.

Beckie was a loving daughter and wonderful, caring Mom who loved her kids and family. She enjoyed being outdoors, especially gardening and four-wheeling with her kids. She also loved crafting and anything with dolphins and beautiful lighthouses. 

Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Barbara Denney and the late Dean Denney; father, Ed Barnett; step-mother, TaTa Barnett; sons, John “Scooty” Dickens (Allison Wegner), Weston Dickens; sisters, Tammy Miller, Julie South, Callie Smith, Nellie Johnson; brothers, Anthony “Buckey” Howard, Edward Barnett, Richard Barnett, Brandon Barnett; special friends, Todd Cable, Robbin Brown, Michael Hodge, Stacy Click; several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Mountain City Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Peterson officiating and special music by Torraina Hensley.
