Barton Brown, Sr.

 Barton Helton Brown Sr., age 79, passed away November 3, 2023 at his home in Mountain City, TN. Barton was born August 6, 1944 in Trade, TN to the late Frank and Madge Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Joe Brown; sisters, Sue Greer, Pat Thomas, Jean McMahan and brothers, Jerry Brown and Jimmy Brown.

Barton was a happy-go-lucky man that was able to fix anything. He was a hard worker and provided greatly for his family. Barton was a truck driver from the age 16 until his retirement. He was a wonderful father and adored his children and grandchildren. Barton enjoyed family holiday dinner and cookouts. He also enjoyed traveling between Maryland and Tennessee visiting family.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 59 years, Voida Brown; daughters, Sharon Brown (James) of Rising Sun, MD, Laurie Cummins (Steve) of Colora, MD; son, Barton “Chopper” Brown Jr. of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Nancy Hughes (Bill) of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren, Kelly Burton, Jason Burton (Etta), Emily Barrow, Stephen Cummins (Erin), Eric Cummins (Danielle); four great grandsons, seven great granddaughters; aunt, Joyce Allen; uncle, Junior Potter and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, November 11, 2023 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, PA, friends and family may visit from 11 am – 12 noon.

Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery.
