Glenn Allen Leslie Glenn Allen Leslie, age 63, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Johnson County Community Hospital. He was born on November 4, 1946 in Smyth County, Virginia to the late Reginald Walter Leslie and Edith Aleine Akers Leslie. He was a United States Marine Veteran and was a counselor with the U.S. Forestry Service at Jacobs Creek Job Corp. Glenn attended Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. Glenn is survived by his wife Deborah Leslie of the home; one daughter, Leigh Leslie of Roanoke, Virginia; one step-daughter, Lee Andra Brooks of Bristol, Tennessee; two sons: Gary Leslie and Derrick Brandon Leslie, both of Glade Spring, Virginia; one sister, Glenda Leslie of Glade Spring, Virginia; four grandchildren: Erin Leslie, Cameron (C.J.) Leslie, Courtland Leslie and Logan Leslie; three step grandchildren: Quinten Brooks, Aden Brooks and Arianna Brooks. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010 from the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jack Stevens and Dr. Tom Peake to officiate. The family will receive from 1-3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Monday. Graveside Service and Military Honors will follow from the Shady Valley Memorial Gardens and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Active Pallbearers will be: Norman Gentry, Dean Gentry, Larry Gentry, Robert Gentry, Jason Robinson and Gregory Brooks. Honorary Pallbearers are: Kenneth McQueen, Charles McQueen, Bradley McQueen, Olan Bentley, Dr. Floyd Barker, Fred Robinette, David Chapman and Congregation of Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Shady Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 10114 Hwy 421 N., Shady Valley, TN 37688 or Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683. Friends may call at the home, 822 Winchester Road, Shady Valley, TN 37688.
