Carl Martin Richardson Carl Martin Richardson, age 57, of Shady Valley, Tennessee and formerly of Vardaman, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at his residence. Carl had been suffering with multiple long term health problems for some time. His passion was music, his family, and an untold number of friends from all walks of life. Carl attended Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carthel Richardson and Mary Evelyn Martin Richardson, lifelong residents of Vardaman.. Carl is survived by his sister, Rosemary Richardson Massey of Vardaman, Mississippi; his brother, Stephen Hurt Richardson of Vicksburg, Mississippi; a niece, Angela Massey Azpell of Franklin, Tennessee; two nephews: Luke Massey of Springhill, Tennessee and Dr. Jon Massey of Oxford, Mississippi; two great nephews; his dog Foxy Richardson and a host of dear friends. Carl?s kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Mountain City Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Peake to officiate. A second Memorial Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from the Vardaman First Baptist Church of Vardaman, Mississippi, officiated by Dr. Gary Richardson and Rev. Dale Easley. His body will be interred at Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman, Mississippi along side his parents. Visitation will be Monday, March 1, 2010 at the Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Vardaman, Mississippi.
