Jean Church

Jean Ellen Church Jean Ellen Church, age 68, of Neva, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 23, 2010, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident along with her sister, Patricia Lunsford. Jean was born on March 29, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Russell Joseph and Frances Alma Chamberlain Nicholas. She loved her family and enjoyed her cats, planning parties, cooking, poetry, music and reading. She loved life and lived each day to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Dose and David Nicholas and one granddaughter, Melissa Darnell. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Marion Church; one sister, Betty Dose of Eastlake, Ohio; one son, Mark Church and wife Debbie of Mountain City; four daughters, Rebecca Wallace and husband Byron of Butler, TN; Pamela Church of Neva; Mary Ann Serrano and husband Jose of Bean Station, TN and Patty Lou McCloud and husband Harold of Independence, VA; grandchildren, Bryan Wallace and wife Teresa; Amanda Church and fiancé Anthony, Suzanne Church and fiancé Luke, Nicky Church Yelton and fiancé Dean, Marion Joseph South, Harold McCloud, Jr., and Stephanie McCloud; great-grandchildren, Ashley Rose Wallace, Jacob Anthony Rose-Wallace, Brayden Cannon and Mason Eli Spicer. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the memorial service following at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor Junior Seatz and Randy McClure officiating.
