Robert H. (Bob) Johnson

Robert H. (Bob) Johnson Mr. Robert H. (Bob) Johnson, age 66, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at the Forsyth Select Specialty Hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born on June 30, 1944 to the late Booker Ben and Lura Jane (May) Johnson. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his two brothers: Cecil Paul Johnson and John Ham Johnson and stepson, Bobby Joe Farmer. Bob was retired from Senaca Foods. He enjoyed fishing and western movies and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Bob is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Johnson; sons: Tony Johnson and wife Cindy of Parkesburg, PA and Terry Johnson of Mountain City, TN; step children: Bobby Carpenter and wife Sandy of Westgrove, PA, Delorise Taylor and husband Lundy of Creston, NC, Danny Farmer, Billy Loggins and wife Diane, all of Avondale, PA, Rita Farmer, Anita Smiley and husband David, Karen Wittenberg and husband Richard, all of Mountain City, TN and Sharon Devalera of Florida; sisters: Margaret Glenn and husband Lenney of Vilas, NC and Anna Lois Lipford of Mountain City, TN; brother, James Johnson and wife Joyce of Creston, NC; fourteen step grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special canine friend, Sassy. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Ted Lewis and Rev. George Hughes to officiate. Graveside Service and Entombment will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love. Active Pallbearers will be David Smiley, Richard Wittenberg Sr., Richard Wittenberg Jr., Mike Bazzano, Lundy Taylor, Billy Loggins, Larry Canter and Gary Johnson. Honorary Pallbearer are: Tony Johnson, Terry Johnson, Lenney Glenn, Eddie Harris, Matthew Forrester, Buford Lipford and Bobby Carpenter.
