Robert 'Bob' Joe Tester

Robert Joe (Bob) Tester Robert Joe (Bob) Tester, age 70, of Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2010 at his residence. Bob was born on July 25, 1940 in Johnson County, Tennessee to the late William Claude Tester and Dolly Triplett Tester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Christine Morelock and Arlene Burgess, one brother, Billy Glen Tester, a niece and two nephews. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially farming, the raising of animals, hunting and fishing. Bob was a former employee of Burlington Industries and he retired in 2002 from Thomasville furniture in Lenoir, NC. He was a member of Centerview Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife Mary May Tester, of Trade, TN, three daughters: Sandy Tester Price and husband Steve of Mountain City, TN, Linda South of Butler, TN and Amanda Furchess and husband Josh of Mountain City, TN; four sisters: Joyce Bradley and husband Jack of Butler, TN, Lois Tester, Ella Jean Lewis, both of Mountain City, TN and Margie Trivette of Bristol, TN; one brother, Dennis Tester and wife Jeanie of Mountain City, TN; grandchildren: Jordan Main and Shyann Price; great grandchildren Kristin Roark and Jada Furchess; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Nell Arnold and husband Duff and many, many special friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Max Greene & Jack Morelock officiating. Graveside service and interment will be conducted on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at 11:00a.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Pallbearers will be Jett Arnold, Jack Arnold, Mack Arnold, Jeffrey Tester, Brad Reece, Tom Tester, Denny Phillips and Buddy Slemp. Honorary pallbearers are: George Hodge, Steve Hodge, Jack Bradley, Steve Price, Josh Furchess, Dennis Tester, John Triplett, Bruce Triplett, Howard Stout, Glen Painter and Rick Harper.
