Mary Elizabeth Wells Mary Elizabeth Wells, age 89, of Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the Watauga Medical Center, Boone, North Carolina. She was born on June 10, 1921 to the late Elza and Hazel Wilson Phipps. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Rheaburn Wells; sisters: Georgia Thomas and Sue Phipps and brothers: Clyde, Clay, Robert and Mack Phipps. Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Wells of Zionville, NC; sisters: Jean Stout of Mountain City, TN and Earleen Bumgardener and husband Earl of Trade, TN; brother, Howard Phipps and wife Ollie of Trade, TN; grandchildren: Susan Johnson and husband Jason of High Point, NC and Amanda Bridges and husband Chris of Boiling Springs, NC; great grandchild, Elijah Johnson of High Point, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friend from 4-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Mountain City Funeral Home. Graveside Service and Interment will follow at 5:00 p.m. from the Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. Carl Johnson and Rev. Derrick Wilson to officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons-in-law, Jason Johnson and Chris Bridges and other family members and friends.
