Cherry Madihanon Roark, age 28, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on October 4, 2010 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born on November 25, 1981 in Dasmari-AS, Cavite- Manila, Philippines. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Noah Wayne Roark and a sister-in-law, Rebecca Roark McElyea. Cherry was a Philippine Teacher, spoke seven languages, loved flowers, four wheeling, camping, but most of all; she loved being a mother to her daughter, Mayah Victoria Cleiope Roark and being the wife to her loving husband, Tywan. Cherry is survived by her husband, Tywan Roark; her daughter, Mayah Victoria Cleiope Roark, both of the home; mother, Victoria Omantud Madihanon; father, Claudio Madihanon; four brothers, Ricky Madihanon, Garry Madihanon, Jeffrey Madihanon and Arjay Madihanon, all of the Philippines; mother-in-law, Millie Roark of Mountain City, TN; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; several nieces and several nephews and many special friends. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Mountain City Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Deacon John Hackett to officiate Entombment will follow from the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love. Active Pallbearers are: John Jay, Bill McElyea, Tony McElyea, Randy Mink, Daniel Roark and Brian Sutherland. Honorary Pallbearers are: Steve Atwood, Tom Coffey, Mark Roark, Eugene Tester, Bobby Willard and Dr. John Whitlock.
