Mack Stout Mack Stout, age 72, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010. He was born on June 4, 1938 to the late John Roby and Beulah (Ward) Stout. In addition to his parents, Mack was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Stout, who passed away on June 5, 2009; one sister, Betty Alexander and two brothers: Jack Stout and Thomas W. Stout. Mack worked for Brown Brothers Construction for many years and later started his own company, Stout-Yates Construction. He later worked for Maymead and was elected as the Johnson County Road Superintendent, where he held this position for 8 years. Mack had been working with his son at Billy Stout construction. He was a United States Army Veteran, where he served in Germany, a member of the Maple Chapter # 79 Order of the Eastern Star and the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge #243 F&AM, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason. Mack was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Mack is survived by two sons: Billy Mack Stout and wife Linnie and Aaron Allen Stout, all of Mountain City, TN; one sister, Doris Stout of the Neva Community, Tennessee; three grandchildren: Andy Stout, Dusty Stout and Aiden Stout; several nieces and nephews, his companion, Tom the cat and many, many friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Mountain City Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Frank Woods and Rev. Mike Penley to officiate. Masonic services will follow the funeral service. Military Honors and Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010 from the Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers are: Blake Stout, Joey Stout, Gary Stout, Terry Stout, John D. Alexander and Jordan Stout. Honorary Pallbearers are: Larry Stout, Tom Stout, Dave Stout, Scott Stout, Paul Brown, D.T. Brown, Danny Herman, Employees of Billy Stout Construction and Johnson County Highway Department. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607. The family will also receive friends at the home of Mack's' sister, Doris Stout, 655 Mill Creek, Mountain City, TN 37683.
