Claude Brewer

Claude Brewer, age 86, of Butler, passed away on Saturday morning, November 27,2010 at the Mountain City Care Center. Claude was born September 11, 1924 in Johnson County to the late James and Myrtle Potter Brewer. He enjoyed hunting and farming. Claude was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Brewer. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Hartensia DeLoach Brewer; daughters, Rosa Leola Watson of Caryville, TN and Geraldine Gentry and husband Jim of Butler; sons, James Brewer and wife Janie and Claude Brewer, Jr. and wife Sharon, both of Butler; sister, Ruby Grindstaff of Mountain City; grandchildren, Matthew Watson, Coty Brewer, Dalton Brewer, Tina Brewer, Earl Brewer, Robert Brewer, Christian Furchess, Cloy Furchess, Jonathan Furchess, Elizabeth Furchess, Judy Stout, Vance Gentry, Sharon Gentry and Loretta Gentry; several great grandchildren; and special friends, Johnny Tackett and Charlie Mann. The family will receive friends at the home, 725 Little Dry Run Road, Butler, TN 37640. It was Claude's wish to be cremated. There will be no public viewing or service at the funeral home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
